Our vision for safety and health is a part of every operation. Without question, it is each employee's responsibility at each level. The safety and health of every employee is a high priority. Management accepts responsibility for providing a safe working environment and employees are expected to take responsibility for performing work in accordance with safe standards and practices. It is for this reason that AZECOLAB is working on its safety management procedures to involve its structures at each level in the monitoring and auditing of safety. AZECOLAB will periodically assess the implementation and compliance with safety operating procedures to assure ourselves and stakeholders that management processes are in place, working effectively and improved continually. Only by involving all of us in the incorporation of safety criteria into every aspect of our daily decision taking can we substantially reduce the number of accidents taking place in laboratories. Safety is a direct concern of everyone within AZECOLAB, and the actions that we take must be informed by an assessment of the risks they involve both to ourselves and to others.
 
AZECOLAB has a commitment to protect the environment. Hence, all chemical waste must be disposed of in the accordance with applicable laws and with environmentally sound procedures that minimize their potential harm. When appropriate, every effort shall be made to reduce, reuse, or recycle any chemicals to remove them from the waste stream.

This is not an inspirational statement but a legal requirement. AZECOLAB formulates a general policy with respect to the management of health and safety, and brings this policy to the attention of all those who work with AZECOLAB.

Safety is equal to cost, quality and productivity

AZECOLAB’s daily business decisions give safety equal consideration to other business criteria. Safety is never compromised in order to meet productivity deadlines and/or other business demands.

Working safety is an essential element of employee performance

All AZECOLAB’s employees have a responsibility to work safely, report injuries immediately, and participate in accident and incident investigations.

Safety is a management responsibility

All AZECOLAB’s managers and supervisors are responsible and are held accountable to provide a safe and orderly working environment for their employees.
